CMDR Log 1 – A New Journey Begins

Hey, I’m CMDR chaosking121. I’m about to leave on my first exploration trip through the galaxy. Why don’t you come with me?

┬áSo, first destination is a popular nebula for first time explorers – the Horsehead Nebula. It’s by no means a strenuous journey, but it’s the first time I’ll have the metal on my freshly outfitted Asp tested. Even so, it’s over 1500 Ly from my home system of Cupis, so I’ll have to make a smaller stop along the way. Browsing the galaxy map, the star HIP 32086 catches my eye because of its size, so that’s where I’m headed.

But enough words, you’re here for the sights. Enjoy.

Fairly quickly, I stumble upon the first T Tauri type star of my journey. I can’t help but sit back for a moment and admire its beauty.
Sometimes, these things just help keep me grounded - even as I'm flying by.

I'm just getting started on a trip to the very edges of the galaxy, but I can't get very far without finding a reminder of home. Maybe some day, billions of years from now, a new species might escape this world for the first time and look back on their home just as I look at it now.

Or maybe - they're looking up at me now?

And with that, I take my leave for the night. As my ship drifts through space and I nod to sleep, I can’t help but be left with a sense of wonder. And the best part? I’m only just getting started.

Until next time, CMDR chaosking121.
